Fresh Fish and Pictures Too!
We went downtown to Joe Patti’s for some fresh fish today. There are quite a few places around here to get fresh fish, but we prefer Joe Patti’s as they seem to have the largest selection.
While we were there I took some pictures to share with you.

Wild Daisies in My Yard!
They are everywhere! I don’t really know where they came from, but there all over my yard. Average height is about 3 feet. The bees and butterflies love ‘em. I do too. Hubby hates them and pulls them up, but I think that just makes them spread faster, LOL!

The Bee’s Knees!
I’ve been wanting to get some insect shots. But it seems that they always came out blurry. I think I got very lucky today. This insect “cooperated” with my camera.

My Knitted Item for the Fair is Taking Shape
Finally, I feel like I am making some headway with my knitted item for the fair!
It is a rib knit dress with I-cord trim around the neck, armholes and hem. Of course, I haven’t got to the hem yet, but I’m working on it. When I get that done I will be adding beads to the dress. Just haven’t figured out where to put them yet.
The pic below shows the dress as it is now. The slip underneath is a little long, but I will be trimming that up so that it doesn’t show.

Just Playing Around with “Staged” Photos
I prefer to take photos of landscapes and animals, but I thought I’d play around with some “staged” photos just to see how I like them. I’m not sure I care for them that much but here they are for you to see.
I chose to use some decorative squash and a couple of baskets that I have on hand. I did add some crochet accents to two of the photos.

Scrambling to Get My Fair Entries Done!
I have my photos ready. I even have my crocheted item ready. BUT I am scrambling to get my knitted item done. I’m working on a simple sleeveless rib knit dress. I’ll be adding an I-Cord to the neckline and armhole areas, maybe even to the hem. Then I will knit a matching jacket and add beads to the dress and jacket.
I only have about six weeks to get it done. I need to quit procrastinating and hunker down until it is finished. Easier said than done. I always find something else that needs doing. I guess I better just ignore everything else and get my butt in gear.
Keeping my fingers crossed……
