Thistle Dreams and Red Hot Mama!

I have a friend who lives in Nevada, a long way from Florida and much colder.   She stated in her blog that her hands were freezing because she couldn’t find her “bloody” mittens.  So I knitted her some, well both mittens and gloves. 

She loves the thistle flower.  So the mittens are a purple and green with a tiny pewter thistle button on each with a little Tibetan silver angel.    And I named them Thistle Dreams.

Red is another color she likes, so the gloves are red with black crocheted netting at the cuff and tiny red glass chilli peppers.  Hence, the name Red Hot Mama.

I hope she likes them and gets good use out of them.  Here’s a pic:
