WHY DO CATS ALWAYS MOVE WHEN YOU TAKE THEIR PICTURE?
I really like taking pictures of my cats. I only wish they would be a little more cooperative. It seems just as I hit the button, they move. I can’t count the number of pictures I’ve taken of them and they moved at the last minute. Sometimes I am fortunate to sneak up on them when they are not paying attention and get a good shot. But most of the time I am just a hair too late.
I have thought of using double sided tape to stick them in place while I snap my pictures, but I think they would get even…. such as shred my new magazine that I haven’t had a chance to read yet, or get hair on my just pressed uniform for work. One never knows how devious a cat’s mind can be when getting even.
Anyway here are a few shots of them, movement and all.
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
While browsing one of the boards on eBay, the Scrapbooking Board, I came across a thread about doing a layout based on the book Twilight. The thread really got off topic as more people commented on how good the book was and how much they loved it. It really got my curiosity up. So I bought it….and read it in two days! My goodness, it was good. Young love, between a 17 year old girl and a “17″ year old vampire. Yep, you read that right…vampire. It has all the elements…love, danger, race against death and, of course, a little humor.
So for all you Harry Potter fans (I’m one too) who have been looking for a good read and haven’t found any books to fill the void since the last Potter book came out, try Twilight. It might just surprise you.
Oh, by the way, there are four (4) books in the series…Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.
Enjoy.
Needs–a Game
I’ve been tagged by a fellow blogger to play this game (at least I hope she meant me). Any way, you Google your name and then the word “needs. Then blog those entries with your responses. So here goes.
1. Sharon needs a hand (could always use an extra hand at work, maybe even a couple).
2. Sharon needs to stop shooting and start talking (I don’t even own a gun and I already talk way too much).
3. Sharon needs to leave Jack (Jack who? Jack Sparrow? Never!! He’s too cute!).
4. Sharon needs to shut up (not gonna happen).
5. Sharon needs to wake up (only when the alarm goes off).
6. Sharon needs prayers (yep, pray for me to win the lottery).
7. Sharon needs digital breast screening (What? Do you place your boob on a computer screen or something?).
8. Sharon needs a paxil injection (NOT! No depression here).
9. Sharon needs a class (depends on what and where).
10. Sharon needs to win (yep, again the lottery).
11. Sharon needs to clean up her own mess (Not me, I hate cleaning).
12. Sharon needs to lower her price to 4.5 million (only when they give me the best perks).
Now I have to tag someone else. Only I don’t know who to tag (since my fellow bloggers have already been tagged). So I’m going to tag all other bloggers to continue this game and tag your fellow bloggers.
Boxes and Boxes of Old Photos
We (really meaning me) decided recently to go through all of the boxes of photos we have taken over the years and do something with them. I spent most of Friday going through quite a few…haven’t really made a dent in the boxes of photos that we have. But I hope to put a good majority of them into scrapbooks to preserve for my sons, now grown. A lot of these photos are unlabled, so we have been racking our brains trying to figure out when this picture was taken or where that picture was taken and so forth.
Some of the pictures were just junk and needed to be tossed which I did. Why on earth did I keep them? I have no idea. But I intend to get rid of a lot of them that are out of focus, or accidental shots of parts of anatomy that shouldn’t be in the picture anyway, or those pictures taken with a cheap camera and nobody can recognize anyone in them.
Hopefully, sometime in the next ten years I will be finished with this project. And it just might take me ten years to get it done, LOL!
So, if you are like us (again meaning me) and take way too many photos, do something right away to preserve them for future generations. At the least, label the good ones and toss the bad ones. And don’t wait until your kids are grown to do something with them like I’m doing.
